Triple P Corridor
Testing key targets in the Triple-P area
Very high-grade gold intersections below Triple-P and Zone B pits, including:
-
4 metres at 23.0 grams of gold per tonne including 1 metre at 85.0 grams of gold per tonne in VPPPRC0008 (Triple-P).
-
7 metres at 15.7 grams of gold per tonne including 3 metres at 28.1 grams of gold per tonne in diamond drill hole PMDD002 (Zone B).
-
4 metres at 9.48 grams of gold per tonne including 1 metre at 25.0 grams of gold per tonne in VPPPRC0005 (Triple-P, Zone B).
Further drilling planned to extend these exciting new gold discoveries. Triple-P high-grade gold in Mine-Mafic may be the tip of the iceberg in terms of potential at depth!
Albatross-Flamingo
- a potential second major mining centre!
(VAN:ASX release 2 January 2020)
New, gold intersections from first drill-hole (VAFRC0001) in 11-hole drlll program below the Albatross-Flamingo historical open pits including:
-
4 metres at 50.6 grams of gold per tonne from 81 metres including 2 metres at 99.1 grams of gold per tonne, including 1 metre at 182 grams of gold per tonne.
-
3 metres at 38.0 grams of gold per tonne from 97 metres including 2 metres at 56.1 grams of gold per tonne including 1 metre at 100.9 grams of gold per tonne (within a wider combined zone of 19 metres at 16.8 grams of gold per tonne from 81 metres).
These exceptional gold intersections at relatively shallow depth are a strong indicator of the open-pit potential at Albatross-Flamingo and will be assessed in Vango’s ongoing mine planning. The bonanza gold grades form part of the greater “Vulcan” target that continues from Triple-P to the Exocet pit and represents a >3km strike length that is largely untested at depth.
The ability to mine via open-pit has the potential to deliver substantial cost savings relative to an underground operation in any potential future gold mining operation at Albatross-Flamingo.
Results from the remaining 10 holes recently completed at Albatross-Flamingo are pending and will be reported in due course.

Triple-P Corridor - a Plutonic repeat?
Previous drilling, geophysics models highlight Plutonic repeat potential at Vulcan:
-
Recognition that Triple-P and Zone B hosted by the Plutonic Mine-Mafic, but reverse stratigraphy
-
Shallow-plunging high-grade gold shoots hosted by repeats of Mine-Mafic, bounded by steep mineralising fault structures
-
Geophysics modelling shows multiple repeats of fault, mineralised Mine-Mafic zones projected >3km west under shallow dipping sediments.
Albatross-Flamingo-Mars:
-
6 metres at 24.2 grams of gold per tonne from 157 metres
(VAN:ASX release 28 March 2019)
-
3 metres at 22.0 grams of gold per tonne from 129 metres
(VAN:ASX release 28 March 2019)
